Mine Hellstone Before the Wall of Flesh

Before fighting the Wall, upgrade your equipment with Hellstone.

Hellstone is found deep in the Underworld among Ash Blocks.

Mining it normally is dangerous because of the Lava surrounding many deposits.

How Long Should the Bridge Be?

If you’re unsure whether your bridge is long enough:

Build farther.

Running out of bridge while the Wall of Flesh is nearly dead can ruin the entire fight.

Your exact required distance depends on:

• Difficulty
• Damage output
• Movement speed
• How quickly you kill the boss

A longer bridge is always safer.

Recommended Wall of Flesh Weapon: Bee’s Knees

Buff Before Summoning the Boss

When you’re ready:

How to Beat the Wall of Flesh

The basic strategy is simple:

Run away while continuously attacking the eyes.

The fight becomes harder as the Wall loses health, so don’t get too comfortable during the beginning.

Aim for the Eyes

When using the Bee’s Knees, aim at the Wall’s eyes rather than simply firing into the center.

The lower defense lets your attacks deal more damage.

Keep attacking while maintaining enough distance to avoid getting trapped against the Wall.

Dodge the Lasers

The Wall’s eyes fire lasers.

The source recommends dodging by changing vertical position.

Move:

• Up
• Down

while continuing forward.

Kill The Hungry When Necessary

The floating enemies connected to the Wall are called The Hungry.

Pick Up the Pwnhammer

One of the most important Wall of Flesh drops is the Pwnhammer.

This hammer is tied directly to early Hardmode progression.
