If you want to unlock a secret Phantom weapon skin for the M1917 LMG in Battlefield 1, follow this step-by-step guide. While the process is not too difficult, it does require some patience and precise execution.

Step 1: Join the Right Server

• Head to the Albion map in Conquest mode.
• It is best to do this on an empty server to avoid interference from other players.
• Use the server browser filter to find an empty server.

Step 2: Interact with the Green Crates

• Spawn as a Support class (this will help with grenade replenishment).
• Locate the large radio tower near D Flag.
• Look for green crates stacked in the middle, with a smaller one on the side.
• Use a grenade to clear away the wooden crates obstructing the area.
• Interact with all 9 green panels on the crates. The order does not matter.

Step 3: Find and Activate the Phantom Switch

• Head east down the hill to a house with a blue door.
• Inside, locate a cabinet with drawers against the wall.
• Throw a grenade at the cabinet to destroy it.
• Behind the debris, you will see a switch with the Phantom skull logo.
• Press the switch once.

Step 4: Reactivate the Green Crates

• Return to the radio tower.
• Interact with all 9 green panels again.

Step 5: Phantom Switch Activation (Again)

• Go back to the house with the blue door.
• Press the Phantom switch 4 times, leaving a brief pause between each press.

Step 6: Decode Your Unique Morse Code

• Go back to the radio tower and go prone next to it.
• You will hear a Morse code repeating in a sequence.
• This code consists of five letters between A and F.
• Record the Morse code using your console or PC recording tools.
• Use Audacity or a Morse Code translator to decode your unique sequence.

Step 7: Destroy Lanterns in the Lighthouse Area

• Head over to the lighthouse near A Flag.
• Destroy 6 lanterns scattered around the six small buildings.
• The order of destruction does not matter.

Step 8: Input the Code in the Lighthouse

• Inside the lighthouse, locate six switches labeled A to F.
• Use the following pre-determined sequence:
  • C A E E B
  • [Your Unique Morse Code]
  • F E A A D D A D
• Example (if your code was E B A D C):
  • C A E E B E B A D C F E A A D D A D

Step 9: Activate the Lighthouse Light

• After entering the code, quickly go to the top of the lighthouse.
• Interact with the large light within 30 seconds before it resets.
• If done correctly, smoke will emit, and a phantom sound will play.
