Movement in Bloodhunt is more than just getting from point A to point B—it’s how you turn the tide in combat, escape death, and stalk your enemies like a true vampire. Mastering mobility will elevate your gameplay more than almost any other skill, giving you a massive edge whether you’re in solo duels or squad firefights. This guide walks you through the key mechanics and techniques you need to dominate Prague with confidence and style.

Understanding Momentum

The foundation of Bloodhunt’s movement system is momentum. It’s the built-up directional speed of your vampire. Building momentum is what lets you chain moves, extend jumps, and generally flow through the cityscape smoothly. You generate momentum by sprinting, sliding, wall-jumping, or dashing. However, certain things cancel it out—like falling from high places or getting hit by crowd control abilities like Shockwave or Blinding Beauty.

If your momentum is disrupted, you’ll lose access to many traversal tools or execute them less effectively. Always try to keep your flow going, especially during escapes or complex chases.

Slide Jumping (Core Movement Combo)

Slide jumping is simple and powerful. While sprinting, slide, then immediately jump. This combo gives you a short burst of speed and evasive movement. You become harder to hit and can rapidly close distance or reposition.

You can chain slide jumps across flat surfaces—rooftops, streets, open plazas—and even across sloped ground for extra acceleration. After each jump, run for a short moment before repeating the slide jump to maintain your momentum. This also works extremely well in tight areas or when engaging/disengaging from fights.

Bonus tip for Nosferatu players: combo your slide jump with Vanish while descending a slope to dramatically boost your travel speed. You’ll cover more ground stealthily and catch opponents off-guard.

Wall Jumping: Vertical Speed and Evasion

Wall jumping is vital when navigating vertical zones or escaping hot situations. After building up momentum, approach a wall and jump against it. As soon as you connect, jump again in your desired direction. You can chain jumps back and forth between adjacent walls to scale buildings quickly—and silently.

Corners are also perfect for this. If you find two surfaces meeting at a right angle, use alternating jumps between them to ascend. Just remember to briefly climb after each jump to reset your momentum; otherwise, you’ll leap away from the wall.

Wall jumps are quieter than climbing and harder for enemies to track, making them ideal for stealth plays or chaotic firefights. You can also use them mid-fight to make yourself an unpredictable target.

Wall Sliding and Healing on the Move

To wall slide, simply press against a climbable surface while facing your direction of travel and let yourself slide down. It’s a quieter way to descend and lets you stay hidden while repositioning.

What makes wall sliding even better? You can heal while sliding. Pop a syringe, blood bag, or armor plate mid-slide to stay in motion while recovering. Combine this with a stealthy descent and you’ll be healed and out of sight before your enemy even realizes what happened. Muse players can also trigger their self-heal during wall slides, maximizing recovery during evasions.

Fall Canceling with Slides

Falling from great heights typically cancels momentum and leaves you vulnerable. But there’s a trick—you can cancel a hard fall by sliding just before you land. As long as you’ve built up some momentum beforehand (via a slide jump or wall slide), you can break the fall and keep moving.

This means you can leap from skyscrapers and land smoothly, without the clumsy hard-stop that usually follows. Practice the timing and make this second nature to keep your flow unbroken.

Healing on the Move

Standing still to heal is dangerous. Thankfully, Bloodhunt lets you activate your healing items while moving—especially during wall slides and fall cancels. This allows you to survive longer, especially in third-party situations. Make it a habit to use mobility + healing in tandem. It’s one of the best habits you can develop for sustained fights.

Scourge Blade Movement: Dash with Style

Scourge Blades offer a unique movement boost. Their alternate fire dashes in any direction your cursor is pointing, which makes them invaluable for clutch escapes, gap-closing, or extending jumps. Need to cross a gap but fall just short? Scourge Blade dash. Want to cancel an animation or redirect mid-air? Scourge Blade dash.

Creative players can chain this with other movement tools for unpredictable mobility. You can even double jump, Soaring Leap, and then dash to reach areas you’d normally never access.

Melancholic Resonance: Cooldown Reduction

Movement abilities are often tied to your clan skill. Collecting Melancholic Resonance (blue aura mortals) reduces your clan ability cooldown. This means more Vanish, more Soaring Leap, more Projection Dash—basically, more movement. Stack this resonance early and you’ll be able to rotate and reposition far more often than your opponents.

Final Thoughts: Chain Everything, Evolve Constantly

Every movement technique in Bloodhunt becomes stronger when chained together. Slide into wall jump. Wall jump into ability. Ability into dash. Dash into heal. Momentum never dies—it only transfers.

Keep an eye on evolving community tricks and test your own combos. The more fluent you are with movement, the more unpredictable and deadly you become. Train like a predator, and soon enough, your enemies won’t even see you coming.
