Hosting special events like parties, movies, and concerts in Two Point Campus can provide useful benefits for your students, such as increased happiness, energy boosts, and improved learning rates. However, knowing when and how to schedule these events is key to making the most of them. This guide will walk you through the different event types and how to best utilize them.

Movies and Their Effects

Movies can be scheduled in any lecture hall, and multiple films can run simultaneously across different lecture halls. As you progress in the campaign, more movie options become available. The first two movies you unlock, the Funny Film and the Romantic Film, provide happiness and entertainment. While not bad, they don’t offer additional effects beyond those buffs.

More advanced movies, such as Horror and Western films, offer the same happiness boost but also provide an energy refill. This makes them far more useful, as energy replenishment helps keep students engaged without requiring them to return to their dorms.

The Action Film grants a movement speed buff in addition to the standard happiness boost. The best time to schedule an action film is at the end of a set of back-to-back classes. This way, students benefit from the speed boost right after their lectures, allowing them to move around campus more efficiently to meet their other needs.

The Sci-Fi Film is the most powerful of all movie options, offering a 10% boost to learning rate. The best strategy for using Sci-Fi Films is to schedule them one period before a set of two consecutive classes. This ensures students benefit from the learning boost for the duration of both lectures.

Another reason to schedule movies, even less effective ones, is student requests. Many students will specifically ask for certain movies, and fulfilling these requests provides additional happiness boosts.

Parties and Social Events

Student Lounge Parties and Student Union Parties work similarly but have slight differences. Lounge parties provide a movement speed buff, similar to the Action Film, making them useful when scheduled at the end of back-to-back class periods. Union parties, on the other hand, offer a larger happiness boost, making them ideal when students’ morale is low.

One advantage of these events is that they can be scheduled during class times without disrupting lectures. Not every student has class during every period, so many will still be able to attend and benefit from the buff.

Bands and Concerts

Bands can only be scheduled in a Student Union with a stage. If you plan to build a Student Union, adding a stage is highly recommended. Otherwise, it’s better to stick with a Lounge for regular parties. Bands provide a happiness boost ranging from 20 to 50, with Jasmine Odyssey offering the highest at 50. This band is only available after earning three stars in Upper Etching.

Since concerts last for two periods, they should be scheduled during a period that transitions into a long break. For example, if March is half-class and half-free time, scheduling the event for the full month ensures maximum participation. The buff is granted at the end of the event, so any students in attendance at that time will receive the benefits.

Advanced Strategy: The Dedicated Movie Theater

A standard lecture hall holds 12 students during a movie. However, if you want to maximize efficiency, you can build a large lecture hall designed exclusively for movie screenings. This room can be expanded to accommodate significantly more students, meaning that when you schedule a movie, it will benefit a much larger portion of your campus. While this strategy requires a significant investment, it allows you to provide mass happiness, energy, or learning boosts at a lower per-student cost.

Special Events at Breaking Point

The Breaking Point campus has access to an exclusive beach event that functions similarly to a concert. The best time to schedule these events is either in November or March, as they span two periods and should be placed at the start of a long break for maximum student participation.

Final Thoughts

Properly scheduling events in Two Point Campus ensures that your students remain happy, energized, and academically successful. Prioritizing movies that provide energy or learning rate buffs, strategically timing concerts and parties, and utilizing dedicated event spaces can all make a significant difference in campus efficiency. Experiment with different event placements to find the best setup for your specific campus layout and student needs.
