Surviving in SCP: Secret Laboratory requires knowledge of each class’s strengths and weaknesses. This guide will walk you through the best strategies to escape or survive as a Scientist, Class-D, or Facility Guard.

Scientists

Early Steps

  1. If you spawn near SCP-914:
    • Set the machine to Very Fine and upgrade your keycard to an Orange Keycard.
    • This will grant you access to Heavy Containment, where you can upgrade further.
  2. If you do not spawn near SCP-914:
    • Search shelves in rooms for a Zone Manager Keycard (Green).
    • This keycard allows you to enter Heavy Containment.

Navigating the Facility

  • Avoid SCP-914 for too long. It’s a hotspot for ambushes.
  • Once in Heavy Containment, prioritize finding SCP-106’s or SCP-096’s chamber for a Lieutenant Keycard.
  • Head to Entrance Zone and use Gate B for the fastest escape.
  • Pick up SCP items along the way—they might save your life!

Class-D Personnel (D-Boys)

Early Steps

  1. Avoid the crowd – Go in a different direction than the majority to increase your chances of finding loot.
  2. Check key locations for items:
    • PT00: Contains shelves and sometimes a pistol.
    • Toilets and Candy Room: Shelves here can hold keycards or useful items.
  3. Your goal is to obtain two keycards:
    • Scientist Keycard (Yellow).
    • Zone Manager Keycard (Green).

Navigating the Facility

  • Find a way into Heavy Containment.
  • Avoid elevators if possible. Anything that comes from an elevator is likely an SCP or Facility Guard.
  • If you lack keycards, stick close to players who do and follow them.
  • Once in Heavy Containment, check the Nuke Room or SCP-079’s area for a Facility Guard Keycard.
  • Escape through Gate B.

Captured by Facility Guards?

  • If you are detained, cooperate to reach Entrance Zone.
  • If detained upon escaping, you will respawn as an MTF member. If free, you respawn as Chaos Insurgency.

Facility Guards

Early Steps

  • Decide on your approach:
    • Option 1: Stay in Entrance Zone to detain or kill Class-D personnel.
    • Option 2: Move into Light Containment to escort Scientists.

Navigating the Facility

  • Obtain a Lieutenant Keycard from SCP-106’s or SCP-096’s chamber.
  • Use flash grenades! Many Facility Guards forget about them, but they work well against SCPs.
  • If an SCP is chasing you in Heavy Containment, hide in rooms SCPs cannot open:
    • Armory
    • SCP-096’s Chamber
  • If SCP-079 (The Computer) is active, do NOT lock yourself in these rooms.
  • Stick together! A squad of guards can take down SCP-049 in seconds.

Pro Tip:

  • If SCPs are near the Heavy Containment elevators, take System B instead of A to increase your chances of survival.

Final Tips for All Classes

  • Doors are your best defense – always close them behind you.
  • Always listen for SCP movement sounds.
  • Stock up on healing items and ammo whenever possible.
  • SCP-914 is useful but dangerous—get in and get out fast.
  • Cooperation increases survival chances. If you can’t escape alone, work with others.

By following this guide, you’ll significantly improve your survival chances in SCP: Secret Laboratory. Whether you’re a Scientist, Class-D, or Facility Guard, knowing what to do in each situation is key to survival.

Good luck in the facility, and stay safe!
