Maximize Your Journey Through the Zga Grande Skydom

Grand Blue Fantasy: Relink is an expansive RPG filled with mechanics, progression systems, and challenges. While the game provides a basic tutorial, there are several intricacies that it doesn’t fully explain. If you’re new to the game, it’s easy to fall into traps that can slow down your progression. That’s why we’ve created this comprehensive beginner’s guide to help you navigate the game efficiently, avoid common pitfalls, and get the most out of your time in Zga Grande Skydom.

1. Complete the Main Story First

The moment you set foot in Zga Grande Skydom, you’ll be greeted by NPCs offering side quests, and the quest counter will open up, tempting you with even more tasks. It might seem logical to complete all available side quests early on to collect materials and currency before moving forward, but this is actually counterproductive. The best approach is to focus on completing the main story first.

Many core features, including essential progression mechanics, remain locked until you complete the main campaign. By rushing into side quests too soon, you risk grinding for weaker rewards and missing out on far better options available in the postgame. The game’s difficulty curve ensures that the main story can be completed without grinding, so enjoy the story and get familiar with the mechanics. Once you reach the postgame, then you can dive into grinding and side quests for the best rewards.

2. Form a Balanced Party

With a wide selection of characters to choose from, it can be overwhelming to build an efficient party. However, your starting roster—Rackam, Io, Rosetta, Catalina, and Eugen—is more than enough to carry you through the story. A well-balanced team should consist of two damage dealers and two support characters.

For an optimal beginner setup, Rackam and Eugen serve as reliable DPS choices with beginner-friendly rotations. As for support, Gran and Catalina provide essential defensive abilities. Gran’s Failnaught skill mitigates incoming damage, while his Panacea ability provides healing support. If you prefer a spell-based playstyle, Io can replace either Rackam or Eugen.

3. Unlock the Best Characters First

Once you reach Chapter 4, you’ll gain access to the Crewmate Card system at Cero’s Knickknack Shop, allowing you to recruit additional allies. Your first choice should be Cagliostro, one of the best support characters in the game. She provides burst healing, buffs the party’s attack, defense, and crit rate, and most importantly, can revive fallen allies. Revives are crucial for tougher battles, making her an invaluable addition to any team.

For those looking for a strong DPS character, Lancelot is an excellent choice. He’s fast, easy to use, and features simple yet effective skill rotations. If you want both characters, simply continue progressing in the main story, and you’ll earn another Crewmate Card soon.

4. Don’t Be Afraid to Upgrade Weapons

Weapons are essential for character growth, and as you progress through the story, you’ll naturally obtain unmissable upgrade materials from bosses. Some players hesitate to upgrade early weapons, fearing they’ll soon be replaced. However, in Grand Blue Fantasy: Relink, every weapon should eventually be maxed out.

Each character has a Collection Mastery tree that unlocks additional stat boosts for maxed weapons, making every upgrade valuable. Upgrading your current weapon will significantly enhance your damage output, making it easier to progress while also unlocking mastery nodes for additional bonuses.

5. Manage Your Resources Wisely

A common mistake among new players is spreading their resources too thinly across multiple characters. Instead, focus on developing a core group of four characters. Doing so will ensure that you have a strong team ready for endgame content.

Mastery Points, in particular, are a scarce resource early in the game. These are earned by completing main story objectives or leveling up and are non-refundable, meaning once spent, they cannot be reassigned. Prioritize spending Mastery Points on your main team members to maximize their effectiveness in combat.

6. Ignore Sigils Until Endgame

Sigils provide stat bonuses to characters, but early-game sigils are low-tier and not worth grinding for. If you spend time farming sigils too soon, you’ll waste valuable resources since higher-tier sigils become readily available later in the game. Instead, work with whatever sigils you acquire naturally and focus on progressing through the story.

Once you reach endgame, you’ll gain access to higher-level transmutation in Cero’s Knickknack Shop, as well as Dahlia Badges, which can be exchanged for top-tier sigils. At that point, sigil farming becomes worthwhile, but until then, it’s best to ignore them and continue progressing.

7. Don’t Sell Materials and Sigils for Rupees

As you progress, you’ll accumulate excess materials and lower-tier sigils. It might be tempting to sell them for Rupees(the in-game currency), but this is highly inefficient. Instead, save them for endgame content, where you can exchange them for Knickknack Vouchers. These vouchers allow you to transmute materials into higher-tier sigils and right stones, which are far more valuable than the rupees you’d get from selling them.

Rupees will naturally become abundant in the late game, thanks to Glitter Stones, which are specifically designed to be sold for currency. By saving your materials early on, you’ll have better upgrade opportunities and a smoother endgame experience.

Conclusion

By following these tips, you’ll avoid common pitfalls and fast-track your progression through Grand Blue Fantasy: Relink. Focus on completing the main story, build a balanced team, invest wisely in your characters, and save critical resources for the late game. With this strategy, you’ll reach endgame content in no time with a well-prepared and powerful team.
