Fae Farm FAQ & Pro Tips: Answering the Most Common Questions

If you’re new to Fae Farm or even a seasoned player with burning questions, this guide covers some of the most commonly asked questions in the community. From wall decor placement to mining shortcuts and animal breeding, we’ve got you covered. Let’s get started!

1. How to Place Wall Decor & Wallpaper

To place wall decorations like shelves, paintings, or wallpaper:

Enter Build Mode (Press Down on the D-Pad).
Walk up to your wall, and rectangular placement zones will appear.
Press A to select decor and place it on the highlighted wall.
For wallpaper, simply select it from the build menu, and it will apply to the entire room.

2. How to Change Clothes & Customize Outfits

Open Inventory and select Edit Outfit.
Choose from available clothing options and change colors using Fabric Dye Kits (purchased in the Town Center or from specific NPCs).

3. How to Move Flowers Without Destroying Them

Enter Build Mode and hover over a flower.
Press A to move it.
Warning: Pressing “Remove” will delete the flower permanently (no seed return).

4. Shipping Contracts Bug (Can’t Accept Contracts?)

There is currently a known bug where players cannot accept contracts in seasons other than Spring. The developers are aware and working on a fix.

5. Dungeon Tracker: How to Check Progress

Open the menu and click the Lantern Icon.
It shows your current dungeon floor, placed seals, and required seals.

6. Regenerate Energy While AFK

If you need to step away but don’t want to waste time, stand inside your house before pausing. Your energy will regenerate slowly while idle.

7. Changing Your Home Base

Unlock multiple houses.
Sleep in a different house and select “Set Home” in options.
Warning: Energy & Health Bars depend on Cozy Furniture in that house.

8. Using the Wind Spell to Harvest Crops Instantly

Your magic staff’s wind spell can be used to harvest crops in bulk:

Stand in the center of your crops.
Cast the Wind Spell (Vortex ability) to instantly harvest all nearby crops.
Works similarly to the magic watering can, which can water multiple crops at once.

9. Sadness Potion: Auto-Watering Hack

Unlock and craft the Sadness Potion.
Drinking it summons a rain cloud that waters all crops for you.
A great alternative to using Mana for watering cans.

10. How to Get Unstuck (Switch & PC Players)

If you get stuck inside an object:

Open the menu.
Click “Help! I’m Stuck”.
You’ll be teleported to a safe location.

11. Planting Hack: Continuous Planting Mode

Instead of placing seeds one by one, hold the Planting Button, and your character will plant continuously.

12. Best Money-Making Method: Polished Gems

Mine gems, then use the Gem Polisher.
Polished Citrine sells for huge profits.
Example: A small batch of polished gems can sell for 7,500+ Florin.

13. Unlocking More Clothing (Job Quests)

Completing Job Quests from NPCs unlocks exclusive outfits.
Example: The Mage Outfit (customizable colors).
Tip: Do these quests alongside mining, since many require enemy defeats.

14. Unlimited Energy on Day 1

On the first day of the game, your energy never depletes. Use this to clear as much of your farm as possible before sleeping.

15. Fast Travel: Using Dungeon & Island Seals

Dungeon Seals allow teleporting between floors (instead of running through all levels).
You can also place Seals at Shrines around Azoria to teleport faster.

16. Checking XP & Progression

Open the menu → Select Progression to track Tool & Skill Levels.
The Relationships tab tracks NPC friendships, dating, and marriage progress.

17. Resetting NPC Relationships

If you regret a relationship choice, you can reset it for 10,000 Florin.
Caution: This is expensive, so choose wisely!

18. Animal Breeding: Getting Rare Colors

Purchase Breeding Charms from Loretta and the NPC above the Chicken Coop.
Breed animals using the charms to get rare colors (e.g., pink chickens & cows).
You must breed multiple times to unlock rare variants.

19. Reclaiming Items & Getting Materials Back

Enter Build Mode → Hover over an object → Select Reclaim.
You get back all materials used to craft the item.
Warning: This does NOT work for farm crops (seeds are lost).

20. Flower Breeding: Unlocking Rare Colors

Flower breeding allows you to create hybrid colors.
These flowers are needed for rare wings & other items.

21. Jar of Bees: What Happens If You Use It Near a Beehive?

If you use the Jar of Bees near a Beehive, the bees escape and swarm you.
Not recommended unless you want chaos!
