In this guide, we’re diving into how to become ridiculously overpowered in Cassette Beasts. This method is aimed at post-game content and is excellent for farming XP, fused materials, and generally steamrolling everything on turn zero. Let’s get started.

Step 1: Acquire Two Capris

Capri is a monster with an exceptionally high ranged attack stat. You can catch it:

  • Pre-post-game: in a specific location (see Capri location guide).
  • Post-game: in the secret train station unlocked after completing the Quest Board to Level 3.
    • This involves defeating Rogue Fusions, Archangel rematches, and Captain rematches.
    • After completing the board, you’ll face a Level 100 Rogue Fusion guarding the train station.
    • Inside, wild spawns around level 90 include Capri.

Step 2: Get Stickers

You will need:

  • 14 Random Starter Stickers (7 per Capri).
    • Buy from the NPC in Harbourtown for 1100 pulp each.
    • Rest twice to refresh his inventory.
    • Don’t confuse with “Custom Starter.”
  • 2 Headshot Stickers (1 per Capri).
    • Obtain by leveling up Velocirifle to 5 stars.

Optional: Level up Anathema to 4 stars for a natural Random Starter, but this is time-consuming.

Step 3: Build Your Capris

Attach to each Capri:

  • 7x Random Starter
  • 1x Headshot

What this setup does:

  • When a Capri enters battle, Random Starter triggers multiple rolls.
  • With only Headshot as an active move, all rolls default to Headshot.
  • On average, you’ll launch 3-5 Headshots on turn zero.

Step 4: Optimize Your Player and Companion

  • Get the Gym Membership (unlocked after defeating 6 Captains).
  • Reallocate your stats:
    • Max out Ranged Attack (200)
    • Put remaining points in Speed
  • Choose Viola as your companion:
    • She has the highest base Ranged Attack of all companions.

Step 5: Handle Downsides

  • Capri is a Fire Type, so Headshot becomes Fire-type:
    • Hitting an Air-type gives them a wall.
    • If the first Headshot doesn’t KO, subsequent ones stack walls.

Solution:

  • Use other monsters to deal with Air-types first.
  • Consider hunting for a bootleg Capri with a non-conflicting type like Poison or Glass.

Bonus: Auto-Healing and Sustainability

  • Some Headshot variants heal on use. If you find these, use them!
  • They allow your Capri to heal even during tough fights (e.g., fusion swarms).

Summary

This method allows you to:

  • Instantly melt Rogue Fusions
  • Farm XP, fused materials, and scrap extremely quickly
  • Dominate post-game content effortlessly

Stay tuned for Part 2 where we go over the farming strategies in detail using this setup. Enjoy your newfound power, and remember—there’s no PvP, so go wild!
