In Biomutant, understanding how to gather and use materials and currency is essential to your survival, progression, and crafting mastery. This guide breaks down each material type, how to collect them efficiently, and what to do with the game’s main currency.

All Crafting Materials

Biomutant features five core materials:

  1. Clink – Metal
  2. Plank – Wood
  3. Polymer – Plastic
  4. Rubber – Rubber
  5. E-Waste – Electronic Waste

These resources are critical for crafting weapons, armor, and gear modifications.

Where to Find Them:

  • Material Towers: These tall, breakable structures are scattered across the map. Smash them with melee attacks to receive random materials. Yield may vary between 2 to 5 units, possibly affected by your weapon’s power.
  • Enemy Drops: Some enemies drop materials upon defeat, though this is less consistent than other methods.
  • Scrapping Gear: Dismantling unwanted weapons and armor in your inventory is a fast and reliable way to build up a material stockpile.

Tip:

You can carry up to 99 units of each material, so manage your inventory regularly and scrap unused gear to prevent waste.

Currency: Green

Green is the in-game currency used to purchase essentials like health items, gear parts, and armor from vendors across the world.

How to Get Green:

  • Green Bushes: Jumping into these glowing green bushes scattered throughout the map will reward you with Green.
  • Enemy Loot: Some enemies drop Green when defeated.
  • Loot & Sell: The most effective method is to loot everything you come across. Sell unused gear to vendors—this becomes especially lucrative as you progress and outgrow older equipment.

Why It Matters:

Vendors sell rare components, consumables, and gear upgrades, making Green indispensable to your long-term progression.
