Hey everyone, it’s Abby here, and today we’re tackling every way to break out of Kapow Camp in The Escapists 2. Whether you’re a solo player looking for a quick route or part of a multiplayer team planning a more elaborate escape, this prison offers three distinct and exciting methods. Each one varies in difficulty, requirements, and whether you can do it alone or need a partner. Let’s break down every path to freedom!
1. Perimeter Breakout – Classic and Efficient (Solo or Co-op)
This is the tried-and-true method of cutting your way to freedom. While it’s straightforward, this escape does require high intellect and solid preparation.
Requirements:
- 60 Intellect
- 4 Files
- 3 Duct Tape
- 2 Pillows + 1 Bedsheet (for Bed Dummy)
Crafting Steps:
- Make a Bed Dummy using the pillows and bedsheet.
- Craft Flimsy Cutters (2 Files + 1 Duct Tape).
- Upgrade to Lightweight Cutters (Flimsy Cutters + 1 File + 1 Duct Tape).
- Upgrade to Sturdy Cutters (Lightweight Cutters + 1 File + 1 Duct Tape).
Escape Route:
- At 21:00 (9 PM), place the bed dummy in your bed.
- Attend roll call, then move quickly.
- From the right side of the prison, bypass the entrance and head north (avoiding the metal detector).
- Go through the purple door before it locks.
- Head down and left to reach the generator room. Turn off the power.
- Return north to find the triple-layer fence near a red door.
- Use your sturdy cutters to cut through all three fences and make your escape.
Tips: Time is crucial here. If the purple door closes before you’re through, you’ll have to wait until the next day.
2. Speed McQueen – Ventilation and Vehicle Escape (Single-Player Only)
This escape lets you channel your inner racer and escape via a motorcycle—but only if you’re playing alone.
Requirements:
- 40 Intellect
- 3 Buckets of Paint
- Screwdriver
- Soda
- Sugar Mint
Crafting Steps:
- Combine Soda and Sugar Mint to make a Makeshift Thruster.
- Use the 3 Paint Buckets to craft a Makeshift Ladder.
Escape Route:
- Head to the southwest area of the prison and find the small shed.
- Place the makeshift ladder under the vent area.
- Use the screwdriver to open the vent.
- Climb into the vent system and follow it to the far side.
- Drop into the garage containing a motorcycle.
- Place the fake thruster on the bike and ride to freedom.
Tips: All items can be found in desks—just be thorough and patient while searching.
3. Glide to Victory – Soaring Through Co-op (Multiplayer Only)
This escape is easily the most complex and requires full teamwork and advanced planning, but it’s one of the most satisfying to pull off.
Requirements:
- 60 Intellect
- Two Sturdy Pickaxes
- Two Half Frames (2 Dowels + Duct Tape each)
- Glider Skin (2 Bedsheets + Rope)
- Fake Cyan Key Card
How to Craft Sturdy Pickaxes:
- Make a Tool Handle (File + Timber).
- Combine with Crowbar + Duct Tape for a Flimsy Pickaxe.
- Upgrade with Timber + Duct Tape for Lightweight Pickaxe.
- Upgrade again to make a Sturdy Pickaxe.
Note: Crowbars are rarely found in desks at Kapow Camp, so plan to purchase them from inmates. Do jobs or favors to earn money.
Making the Fake Cyan Key Card:
- Craft a Key Card Component with Circuit Board + Wire + Real Cyan Key Card.
- Suggestion: Disable your room camera with duct tape, lure a guard in, knock them out, quickly craft the component, return the key card to avoid lockdown.
- Craft Molten Plastic with a lighter and a comb or toothbrush.
- Combine with the component to craft the Fake Cyan Key Card.
Escape Route:
- Go to the library on the first floor and use the stairs nearby.
- Press the blue button to let your friend in, then your partner presses it to let you in.
- Go upstairs and follow the corridor to the right.
- Find the wooden platform and assemble the glider using both half frames and the glider skin.
- Use the sturdy pickaxes to break the weakened walls on the right.
- Return to the glider, and you’re ready to take flight.
Tips: Timing and coordination are key. Make sure you craft everything in advance and have your partner close by. Covering the camera with duct tape is a must for the key card trick.
Final Thoughts
Kapow Camp provides a great mix of escape challenges. Whether you’re sneaking through vents, racing on a motorcycle, or gliding off into the horizon, there’s something here for every type of player. Solo players can enjoy efficient or creative escapes, while multiplayer users get to dive into deeply strategic teamwork.
Hope this guide helps you plan your perfect escape—good luck out there!
