In Skul: The Hero Slayer, items often define your build. But what happens when you take things to the extreme — like stacking nine of each adventurer’s item? This review takes a look at all six of these powerful, themed items when pushed to their maximum stack potential. The results range from hilarious overkill to borderline unplayable. Here’s a full breakdown of what happens, how it looks, and whether it’s actually worth doing.

Chosen Warrior’s Armor – The Tankiest of Tanks

Let’s start with the Chosen Warrior’s Armor, which grants 20 shield upon entering a regular map and 40 when entering a boss room. Stack that nine times, and you’re looking at 180 shield per regular map, 360 in boss fights — and it stacks up to 900 total.

The result? You’re practically invincible. Even without movement or dodging, the constant buffer soaks up damage before you feel anything. Is it worth stacking? For sheer survivability, yes — but keep in mind, dedicating nine slots to shields leaves little room for offense.

Chosen Thief’s Twin Swords – Speed Beyond Comprehension

These swords boost your attack speed by 100% after landing the first hit, and slow down the enemy. Stacked nine times, the result is visual chaos — attack speed goes through the roof, effectively reaching 1,000%.

With the right skull, it’s a total crowd control tool. Enemies are staggered into oblivion, unable to act. While this specific build wasn’t matched to an ideal skull, the impact was still enormous. Verdict? Absolutely worth stacking, with the right speed-based skull. Enemies can’t even respond.

Chosen Mage’s Badge – A Literal Ring of Fire

Every badge grants you three rotating fireballs that explode when you use a skill. With nine badges, you become a walking inferno. Fireballs stack into a spinning, burning barrier that obliterates anything within reach.

Enemies can’t approach. Contact means instant death. The fireball explosions trigger constantly with skill use, providing consistent, massive AoE. Easily one of the most entertaining and effective builds to stack. Highly recommended if you’re going magic.

Chosen Hunter’s Arrow – Crit Scaling Madness

This item gives 25% crit rate and increases your attack by 2% per 1% crit rate (capped at 400%). Nine arrows results in:

  • 235% crit rate
  • 3,760% bonus attack

Every hit is a critical. Enemies explode on impact. It’s pure overkill — the kind of overkill that speedrunners and late-game meme builds dream about. If you want to see massive numbers fly across the screen and delete everything instantly, this one’s for you. Verdict? One-shot heaven. Stack it.

Chosen Cleric’s Bible – Righteous Speed and Buff Overload

This item offers recovery-based buffs: gain HP after 10 kills, and each heal gives:

  • +80% physical and magical attack
  • +50% movement speed
  • Wings for 10 seconds

With nine stacks, you’re getting the buff so frequently that it becomes your default state. Add in the punishment beam (which triggers every 2 seconds and deals your highest type of attack), and it becomes an enemy-clearing machine.

Despite the speed and power, it’s not great against bosses due to its reliance on kill count. Verdict? Fun and flashy for mob-clearing, but limited in boss fights. Still, very satisfying to use.

Chosen Cleric’s Circuit – Invincibility Abuse… With Consequences

This item activates when you fall below 15% HP, giving:

  • 7 seconds of invincibility
  • Increased damage and speed
  • HP recovery afterward

Stacked nine times? They all activate simultaneously, causing massive lag. The effect is comically broken in both good and bad ways. You’ll be untouchable for extended periods, but performance suffers.

In real gameplay terms, it’s just not practical. You don’t want to rely on frame drops to survive. Verdict? Not worth stacking — too volatile and disruptive.

Final Verdict – When Is Stacking Worth It?

ItemWorth Stacking?Notes
Warrior’s Armor✅ YesMassive survivability, nearly unkillable
Thief’s Twin Swords✅ YesAttack speed and crowd control is unreal
Mage’s Badge✅ YesAoE magic barrier makes you untouchable
Hunter’s Arrow✅ YesMaximum damage scaling, pure one-shots
Cleric’s Bible✅ SituationalGreat for mobs, weak against bosses
Cleric’s Circuit❌ NoInvincibility + lag = not worth the performance hit

If you’re looking to experiment with stacking for maximum chaos, there are some truly busted combinations here. While not always viable for serious runs, they’re wildly fun to try — especially with the right skull and a room full of enemies. Just don’t be surprised if your framerate starts crying.

And yes, the dream of the Mage Badge ring-of-fire run is real. It’s as satisfying as it sounds.
