This is a full solo stealth walkthrough of the Diamond District heist in Payday 3 on normal difficulty. The guide shows you how to clean out every jewelry store, handle the two vaults, and maximize profit while avoiding detection.

🔹 Recommended Skills

  1. Quick Fingers (Infiltrator tree): Speeds up lockpicking while Rush is active.
  2. Secure Loop (Hacker tree): Allows you to loop surveillance cameras.

You can still complete the mission without these, but they significantly improve safety and speed.

🔸 General Strategy

  • You don’t need to mask up unless going for the vault loot.
  • There are five stores in total. The first two provide enough loot to finish the mission, but optional stores and vaults offer bonus rewards.
  • The van spawn is usually in the back alley — use it to quickly stash bags.

🔸 Store 1: Small Jewelry Shop (across from large store)

  1. Loop the entrance camera.
  2. Sneak into the back and find the alarm lever.
    • It’s often inside the staff room — ensure no staff or patrolling guards see you.
  3. Grab QR codes when you find phones (used for vault access later).
  4. Loot the cases. To confirm alarm is off, check for a small white blinking box below the displays — if blinking, alarm is active.
  5. Exit through the back into the alley and stash loot in the van.

🔸 Store 2: Upper-Floor Shop (across the alley)

  1. Enter from the front or side. Beware of hallway guards.
  2. Search lockers for cash and vault codes.
  3. Loop the camera inside the next room.
  4. Use the Multitag Scanner to upgrade jewelry value.
  5. Vault access:
    • Check up to four locations for vault codes:
      • Whiteboard
      • Lockers
      • Desk
      • Paper to the left of the desk
    • Identify the correct code by matching pressed digits on the keypad.
  6. Inside: loot two cases and a necklace. Use scanner for extra value.
  7. Toss bags one by one, or carry carefully to avoid alerting nearby guards.

🔸 Store 3: Double-Door Store (across the street, leftmost)

  1. Use Rush to speed up door entry.
  2. Search for alarm lever in two spots:
    • By the lockers on the left
    • Inside the small office
  3. Optional: Use the lure device on the desk to distract the patrolling guard.
  4. Steal three to four jewelry cases (including possible one in the office).
  5. Exit using the back door if needed.

🔸 Store 4: Middle Store (between left store and large store)

  1. Watch for entrance cameras.
  2. Find the backroom door behind the counter.
  3. One display case out front, one in backroom.
  4. If there’s an alarm (indicated by blinking white box), locate and pull lever first.
  5. Stealthily loot both and exit.

🔸 Store 5: Large Jewelry Store

  1. Fewer guards than expected.
  2. Three large display cases to loot.
  3. Use quick fingers to speed up lockpicking.
  4. Very straightforward — no vault unless you explore deeper.

🔸 Optional Vaults

Vault 1: In Store 1 (small jewelry shop)

  • Requires equipping your mask.
  • Locate the manager (black hair, glasses, blue shirt).
  • Take her hostage and push her to the face scanner.
  • Inside: 1 case and a camera. Destroy or loop the camera.
  • Very close to the van — escape easily after looting.

Vault 2: In Large Jewelry Store (requires mask)

  1. Go upstairs via the back.
  2. Watch for cameras — loop if possible.
  3. Use a QR code to enter the office (secure area).
  4. Inside the office:
    • Subdue the camera watcher.
    • Search desk or nearby office for the red keycard.
  5. Use red keycard on vault door.
  6. Use ventilation shaft to exit.
    • Leads back to third store’s backroom.
    • Subdue two guards and answer pagers.
  7. The street between this vault and the van is risky — expect detection when crossing.

🔸 Final Notes

  • Try to leave vault looting for last and only equip your mask when absolutely needed.
  • Don’t let staff or guards see suspicious bags.
  • Carry bags one at a time or toss to AI if needed.
  • Looting all stores and vaults guarantees full optional bonus.

This method ensures you stealthily clear every store and grab max loot, with high consistency even solo.

Good luck, and happy heisting!
