Galvanized mods are a powerful upgrade for Warframe weapons, particularly useful for players preparing to tackle Steel Path content. These mods improve as you get kills in a mission, providing stacking buffs to your weapon’s performance. Here’s how to unlock and farm them effectively.

Step 1: Complete the Star Chart

Before you can access galvanized mods, you must complete the entire Star Chart — every node on every planet (excluding special mission types like Sorties and Void Fissures).

How to Check Progress:

  • Go to your Profile > Stats and check for 241/241 nodes completed
  • Alternatively, visit the Arbiters of Hexis Syndicate NPC at any relay and ask them to show you incomplete nodes

Once you’ve completed all nodes, you’ll unlock access to a new mission type: The Circuit: Apparitions, which is where you farm for the currency needed to purchase galvanized mods.

Step 2: Accessing Galvanized Mods

After completing your Star Chart:

  1. Go to the Arbiters of Hexis enclave
  2. Speak to The Operative in the Operation: Halls of Ascension hub
  3. Open the Apparition Shop
  4. Scroll down to find the Galvanized Mods

Each Galvanized Mod costs 20 Vitessence. There are 9 mods total, so you’ll need 180 Vitessence in total to buy them all.

Step 3: Earning Vitessence (The Farming Process)

Requirements:

  • Equip a Rank 30 Warframe
  • Launch the Apparition missions from the Star Chart under the Alerts tab

These missions feature unique conditions and scaling difficulty. They’re tougher than normal missions but not as hard as Steel Path. Most importantly, they drop Vitessence, which is required for purchasing Galvanized Mods.

How to Get Vitessence:

  1. Kill Flying Shield Drones — These special enemies drop Vitessence and shield nearby enemies, making them invulnerable until the drone is destroyed
  2. Drones must be hit twice — They are shield-gated, so they require two hits to destroy

Vitessence Drop Sources:

  • Drone Kills (primary source)
  • Rotation Rewards (7% drop chance for 3 Vitessence)

Apparition Mission Tips & Mechanics

Each mission has unique modifiers, including:

  • No bleedout phase – If you or your teammate dies, you must collect 5 reviver tokens dropped by Shield Drones to be revived
  • Survival: Life support capsules provide only 75% of normal value
  • Excavation: 180 seconds per excavator, 2 required for round
  • Interception: Enemies capture points 2x faster
  • Defense: You protect an NPC that follows a teammate (instead of a pod)
  • Disruption: Demolisher beep radius reduced from 30m to 15m
  • Other missions feature similar balance tweaks (fewer targets, high-health consoles, etc.)

Note: If your entire squad wipes, you lose all mission-earned loot — but you keep any rotation rewardsyou’ve earned up to that point.

Rotation Structure:

  • Apparitions use a unique rotation: A > A > B > B > C > C > …
  • Stay for at least 5 rounds to reach and benefit from C rotation
  • Once you start a mission and complete the first rotation, the mission is marked as “completed” and will disappear until the next cycle

Recommended Loadouts & Tips

  • Bring a tanky Warframe like Rhino or Revenant if you’re new to Apparitions
  • Aim for survivability + strong AoE damage to clear mobs quickly
  • Focus Shield Drones first — killing them allows you to damage surrounding enemies and grants Vitessence
  • Consider starting with Survival or Defense missions — they tend to be more manageable

Purchasing & Prioritizing Mods

Each Galvanized Mod costs 20 Vitessence. Since it takes time to farm 180, here are some quick tips:

  • Prioritize based on your main weapons (e.g., Galvanized Chamber for primaries, Galvanized Diffusion for secondaries)
  • Pick the mods that give you the most direct benefit in your current builds

Once purchased, these mods can be slotted into your weapons like normal mods but offer much more power, especially in missions with lots of enemies.
