Are you looking to farm Toroids for quick Vox Solaris standing or for crafting powerful gear? In this complete guide, we’ll go over how to farm and acquire all Toroid types: Vega, Calda, Sola, Crisma, and Lazulite.
What Are Toroids?
Toroids are rare resources in Warframe, mainly used to gain standing with the Vox Solaris Syndicate and to craft powerful gear, including operator amps, warframes like Baruuk and Hildryn, and more.
There are two categories:
- Open world Toroids: Vega (green), Calda (orange), and Sola (yellow).
- Boss-drop Toroids: Crisma and Lazulite.
Where to Farm Open World Toroids
Open world Toroids are dropped by enemies in specific areas of Orb Vallis:
Vega Toroids
- Location: Spaceport area
- Method: Kill enemies in/around the Spaceport. You can also farm these during the first stage of the Exploiter Orb fight.
Calda Toroids
- Location: Enrichment Labs
- Method: Kill enemies in/around the Labs. The Tier 2 Profit-Taker bounty is a good method as it spawns many drop ships.
Sola Toroids
- Location: Temple of Profit
- Method: Kill enemies inside or around the Temple.
Each enemy in these zones has a 2% chance to drop their respective Toroid. Rare Ragna enemies in the Calda and Sola zones have a 20% drop chance.
Boosting Your Efficiency
Increase Enemy Spawns
- Let crewmen call reinforcements by placing beacons.
- Max out the alert level (Level 4) before going on a full killing spree.
Use Loot-Boosting Frames:
- Nekros with Despoil
- Khora with Pilfering Strangledome
- Hydroid with Pilfering Swarm
- Atlas with Ore Gaze
Companions & Mods
- Use beast companions with Resourceful Retriever or Loyal Retriever.
- Use Sentinels with Spare Parts.
Solo vs. Steel Path
- In Normal mode, spawn rate scales with squad size.
- In Steel Path, spawn rates are maxed out even when solo.
Additional Method: Toroid Cave Hunting
- Each Orb Vallis instance can contain 0-7 Toroids inside caves.
- You can manually search these using Archwing or check community maps.
