There’s no question that Vampire Survivors is one of the best gaming values out there. For the price of a fancy coffee, you get endless chaos, dozens of hours of replayability, and a deep well of unlockables. One key system that adds both functionality and discovery to your runs is the relic system—permanent collectibles that enhance your gameplay with new features.

There are 13 relics currently available in the game, and each one provides a unique benefit. Some are simple to collect, others require patience, power, and precision. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to unlock every relic in the game and why they matter.

1. Grim Grimoire
Location: West in the Inlaid Library
What It Does: Adds a pause menu display showing all weapon evolutions you’ve discovered.
A foundational relic and extremely helpful for mid-run planning. Just head west in the Inlaid Library and pick it up—easy and impactful.

2. Ars Gouda
Location: South in the Dairy Plant
What It Does: Unlocks the Bestiary, giving you stats and visuals for all previously discovered enemies.
Navigate directly south at spawn. Simple, but valuable for lore and data lovers.

3. Milky Way Map
Location: South in the Dairy Plant
What It Does: Unlocks the in-game minimap in the pause menu.
Probably the first relic every player should pursue. It opens up navigational awareness and makes map exploration far easier.

4. Magic Banger
Location: Southeast in Green Acres
What It Does: Unlocks a music selection screen, allowing you to choose your soundtrack during runs.
A fun aesthetic addition for players who want to customize their vibe while surviving waves.

5. Sorceress’ Tears
Location: South in Gallo Tower
What It Does: Unlocks Hurry Mode, which speeds up in-game time.
Great for players short on time or looking to push through multiple runs quickly. Just head due south.

6. Randomazzo
Location: North in Gallo Tower
What It Does: Unlocks Arcanas, game-modifying cards you can enable or disable before each run.
Arcanas drastically alter your playstyle and progression. This is one of the most important relics to collect.

7. Glass Vizard
Location: Purchased from the Merchant in Moon Glow for 10,000 gold
What It Does: Makes the Merchant available in all stages and lets you buy Golden Eggs for permanent stat boosts.
A meta-progression must-have. Save up your gold and snag this as soon as possible.

8. Mindbender
Location: Automatically unlocked by completing 50 entries in your Collection
What It Does: Grants cosmetic customization and weapon limit toggles in the character select menu.
No map hunting needed—just play and unlock enough content.

9. Yellow Sign
Location: Far east in the Holy Forbidden stage
What It Does: Unlocks the Silver Ring, Gold Ring, and both Metaglio items in various stages. Also unlocks secret characters and events.
This relic is mandatory for accessing later stages and several other relics. Just keep moving east until you find it.

10. Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane
Location: Dropped by Sketamari in the southern Bone Zone
What It Does: Unlocks the Secrets Menu, where you can enter cheat codes (spells) and view hints for hidden characters.
Reaching Sketamari around the 20-minute mark is recommended unless you’ve already unlocked high-damage characters like Leda or Red Death.

11. Great Gospel
Location: Dropped by the final boss of Capella Magna
What It Does: Unlocks Limit Break, allowing weapons to level beyond their usual cap.
You must defeat the stage boss. A powerful addition to any build.

12. Gracia’s Mirror
Location: Eudaimonia Machine (after acquiring Great Gospel)
What It Does: Unlocks Inverse Mode, harder versions of every stage.
Talk to the mysterious entity at the top and choose the dialogue option “it’s too easy.” That’s it.

13. Seventh Trumpet
Location: Also in the Eudaimonia Machine
What It Does: Unlocks Endless Mode, removing the 30-minute time cap and death timer.
If you previously took the Mirror, start a run, exit to options, and reenter the Eudaimonia Machine to get the opposite option—“it’s too hard.”

Final Thoughts

Unlocking relics is more than just collecting—it’s how you unlock entire systems of Vampire Survivors. From Arcanas and music to merchants and cheat codes, each relic enhances the game’s strategic depth and personalization. If you’re looking to experience the full scope of what the game has to offer, then make relic-hunting a priority.

The sooner you collect them, the sooner you’ll be customizing your runs, chasing secrets, and pushing your builds to their absolute limit. Happy hunting!
