In Sleeping Dogs, the Jade Statues are more than just collectibles — they’re the key to mastering the game’s deep and satisfying hand-to-hand combat system. Scattered throughout Hong Kong, these 11 statues must be returned to the dojo to unlock new fighting techniques, making them essential for players who want to get the most out of Wei Shen’s martial arts potential. Some statues can be grabbed freely at any time, while others are tightly tied to the main story missions or favors.
This guide walks you through the locations of all 11 Jade Statues, giving you the optimal time and mission to collect each one with minimal backtracking.
North Point Statues
1. The Temple – During ‘Ting’s T-Shirt’ Favor
The first statue is located at the temple in North Point. While it can be accessed anytime, the easiest moment to grab it is during the ‘Ting’s T-Shirt’ favor, when you’re sent to take photographs. One of the shots is conveniently at the altar where the statue rests.
2. Golden Koi Restaurant – During ‘Listening In’ Mission
Head into the Golden Koi and take the stairs up into the back kitchen. The statue sits at the rear, and while you can grab it at any time, it’s handed to you practically for free during the ‘Listening In’ mission, when you enter through the ceiling and land right next to it.
3. Club Bam Bam – During the ‘Club Bam Bam’ Mission
This statue rests in the VIP area of Club Bam Bam, near the fish tanks and on the bar. It’s obtainable anytime after statues become available, but the ‘Club Bam Bam’ mission walks you straight past it, making that the perfect moment to grab it.
4. Waterfront – During ‘Popstar Lead 3’ Mission
Found at the waterfront, this statue sits on top of a large box. While accessible later, ‘Popstar Lead 3’ has you climb onto the exact platform, which makes it a no-brainer to collect during the mission.
Central Statues
5. Near Salos Bridal Shop – During ‘Bride to Be’ Mission
Located at the North donut near Salos Bridal Shop, this statue is visible and collectible at any time. However, the ‘Bride to Be’ mission will place you right in its vicinity, so pick it up then for efficiency.
6. Central Hospital – During ‘The Wedding’ Mission
Walk by the statue during ‘The Wedding’ mission. It’s placed conveniently along your path, making this another easy grab.
7. The K-Bar – During ‘Important Visitor’ Mission
Downstairs in the K-Bar, you’ll find the next statue sitting right on the bar. While it’s accessible throughout the game, the ‘Important Visitor’ mission leads you directly to it.
8. Conflicted Loyalties Apartment – After Completing ‘Conflicted Loyalties’
The final Central statue lies behind locked doors until the ‘Conflicted Loyalties’ mission is completed. During that mission, you enter the apartment and will likely spot the statue clearly. The door remains locked until that quest is done, even though the statue is tauntingly visible through the windows.
Kennedy Town Statues
9. Cemetery – During ‘The Funeral’ Mission
Enter the cemetery’s front gate and take a sharp left. The statue is tucked away on a sofa chair. It’s available anytime, but the ‘Funeral’ mission conveniently brings you through this path.
10. Offshore Barge – After ‘Riff Raff Disposal’ Favor
This statue requires a bit more work. Located offshore on a barge at the top of the map, you’ll need a boat to reach it. The favor mission ‘Riff Raff Disposal’ unlocks access to this area. The statue is inside, just to the right after entering the door.
11. Tu Chin’s House – During ‘Bad Luck’ Mission
This one is completely unmissable. As part of the story mission ‘Bad Luck’, you are required to crack open a safe and steal the Jade Statue. Wei will grab it automatically, making it the only one you can’t miss.
Wrapping It Up
Once you’ve collected all 11 statues, head back to the martial arts dojo to return them. Each time you do, you’ll unlock a new, powerful combat move that enhances Wei’s capabilities significantly. These moves include leg breaks, charge kicks, disarms, and more — making you a true master of hand-to-hand combat.
By grabbing the statues at the optimal times — mostly during missions where they’re handed to you — you avoid a lot of unnecessary backtracking. The game practically lines them up for you if you’re paying attention.
So if you’ve been following along, you should now have every Jade Statue in Sleeping Dogs. Take them to the dojo, upgrade your skills, and enjoy being a true martial artist on the streets of Hong Kong.
