Welcome to an all-in-one walkthrough for Bioshock Remastered, covering plasmidscombat and engineering tonics, and audio diaries, all in the order you encounter them throughout your journey. This guide is ideal for those looking to 100% the game, and it’s been crafted to follow the natural progression through each level. Color-coded in the original presentation, but unified here for clarity, this guide helps you stay on top of what to grab, when to grab it, and where.


Welcome to Rapture

  • Plasmid: Electro Bolt – Story-related and cannot be missed. This is your first plasmid.
  • Weapon: Pistol – Found in the baby carriage after you receive the wrench.
  • Diary 1 – In the restroom area to the far right of the restaurant, at the end.
  • Diary 2 – After exiting the restroom, go downstairs, head into the water slightly to your right—it’s on a table.

Medical Pavilion

  • Diary 3 – At level start, turn right and find it on the desk marked “Released Today.”
  • Diary 4 – Enter “Emergency Access” area, on first table you see.
  • Diary 5 – After triggering the alarm and going through a short cutscene, it’s just inside the door, slightly to your right.
  • Diary 6 – Nearby cash register area.
  • Diary 7 – Past that, near the writing on the wall.
  • Diary 8 – Turn around, take a left and a right. It’s on a box.
  • Diary 9 – In the water by the Circus of Values machine.
  • Diary 10 – Down more stairs into the icy area.
  • Diary 11 – After melting the ice later with Incinerate, go into the Cure-All area, and you’ll find it on a wall stand.
  • Physical Tonic: Hacker’s Delight – In the same Cure-All area, burn the woman lying on the bed to get it.
  • Plasmid: Incinerate – Upstairs, crawl through a vent to find this behind a door.
  • Combat Tonic: Wrench Jockey – After melting ice, head into Cure-All, go past the first tonic and blood-covered floor to find it.
  • Diary 12 – Near Wrench Jockey location.
  • Engineering Tonic: Speedy Hacker – After crawling through a window to unlock a door switch, you’ll find it next to a diary.
  • Diary 13 – Same room as Speedy Hacker.
  • Diary 14 – Go through the now-unlocked door, turn right. Diary is in plain sight.
  • Diary 15 – Proceed further and turn left—on a control panel.
  • Plasmid: Telekinesis – Acquired in this area. Important: Replace Electro Bolt not Incinerate.
  • Diary 16 – After blowing open the door, enter and turn right.
  • Combat Tonic: Static Discharge – After Diary 16, turn left, go through the water, and it’s just before the exit.
  • Diary 17 – Enter the first door on the right, it’s inside the room on the left.
  • Diary 18 – After killing Steinman, loot the splicer he was operating on.
  • Diary 19 – Near the Gatherer’s Garden after watching the Big Daddy-Little Sister interaction.

Bonus Notes

  • Gatherer’s Garden Tip: Rescue all Little Sisters to receive several bonus tonics. This guide does not show every rescue but assumes you’ll be doing so to unlock all upgrades.
  • Plasmid Management Tip: Always keep Incinerate equipped while exploring iced-off areas. If you accidentally unequip it, you can still chuck fire objects at the ice to melt it.
  • Engineering Tonic: Security Expert – After the Gatherer’s Garden area, use Incinerate or fire to melt nearby ice. Through that door, across the water, you’ll find this tonic.

With the Medical Pavilion now fully cleared of audio diaries, tonics, and plasmids, you’re ready to continue your journey into Neptune’s Bounty. This guide will be continued step-by-step in upcoming parts.
