These formations can serve as defensive barriers, allowing you to conserve materials by needing fewer walls in your defensive setup.

2. Clear the Land and Harvest While You Do It Dense flora might look like a hindrance, but your mech’s sword can turn it into an advantage. Clearing trees and plants not only improves visibility and build space but also yields plant biomass—an essential early-game resource. Watch for glowing green leaves, which indicate drops. Be cautious though, as some plant types explode on contact. Take those out from a distance to stay safe.

3. Mining and Building Simultaneously The game allows you to mine deposits like Carbonium by holding spacebar. What it doesn’t tell you is that you can build while mining. Use this to your advantage by laying down essential structures like power generators and extractors without pausing your resource gathering—saving precious seconds, especially on higher difficulties.

4. Streamline Your Building with Click and Drag Placing buildings one at a time is inefficient. You can click and drag to build rows of walls, solar panels, or wind turbines in one go. This is a huge time-saver and helps with consistent spacing and defense.

5. Master Early Power Management with Biomass Generators While the game nudges you toward wind and solar energy, don’t overlook the Biomass Generator. Once unlocked with minor research and some Ironium, it provides a solid 100 energy per second in exchange for plant biomass. This is a game-changer early on, conserving Carbonium and space while giving you the power to expand or operate energy-intensive buildings.

6. Prepare for Power Fluctuations Energy supply isn’t stable. Solar panels go dormant at night or during rain, while wind turbines fluctuate with the weather.
