Well, it’s time to crash land on yet another alien planet and end this man’s entire career in one fell swoop—because there’s a new mod in Dome Keeper, and this one brings diamonds to the game. Check that out: Diamond Health. We also get all sorts of other ones like Diamond Engineer, Diamond Lasers, and even Diamond Shields. Really, the hardest component found “down there.” So, you know how this works: we dig down deep and greedily and hopefully find diamonds.

We start with regular iron, which is delicious and lets us grab the Hostile Proximity Meter for a countdown to the next monster wave. After finding a few pieces of iron, the Carrying Strength upgrade comes next, even though Drill Strength is tempting. The dream is to unlock the Diamond Engineer upgrade ASAP.

The first few waves are manageable—some Rhino-like creatures, which we fry with our laser. A few iron veins and water spots later, we finally uncover our first diamonds. Three glorious pink gems, delivered to the surface to fund our upgraded laser and eventually, our first Diamond Laser enhancement. That boost is no joke. The attack rate skyrockets, and even flyers start melting before reaching the dome.

Diamond Upgrades and Strategy The next batch of diamonds goes straight into Diamond Drill upgrades, increasing drill strength to absurd levels. Rocks that used to take five hits now crumble instantly. It’s tempting to push into other diamond upgrades—Diamond Shield, Diamond Stun Laser, and beyond.

Other relics begin showing up, but we skip the less exciting ones like the Prospecting Meter and Condenser in favor of offensive tools. We choose Stun Laser and eventually make it autonomous with Diamond Stun upgrades.

Iron remains plentiful, but diamonds are still rare. We experiment with planting the Resource Tree on a diamond—hoping it would grow more diamonds—but instead, it produces a single block of iron. Still, the science was worth it.

Combat Escalation By wave 10, enemies start scaling hard. Bigger creatures, flyers, and ground pounders begin testing the durability of our dome. That’s when we invest heavily into Diamond Shield strength and even unlock invulnerabilityfor when the going gets rough. We push further down to find the Relic Room’s activation cores, unlocking them one by one while frying waves with the Diamond Laser.

Eventually, we hit the final wave. With every major upgrade maxed—laser power, stun laser, invulnerable shield, Diamond Shield—we put our dome to the ultimate test. It’s chaos: screamers, popcorns, flyers, projectiles, and ground units crash against the Diamond Dome. Invulnerability, rockets, lasers, and drones hold the line. After a brutal slugfest, the enemies are defeated and the dome is safe.

Victory and Final Thoughts Mission complete. Dome secured. 20 waves survived. Over 1200 blocks mined, including every single diamond in the entire map. While the mod is clearly unbalanced, it’s one of the most fun runs imaginable. The Diamond Mod in Dome Keeper is ridiculously powerful and a great time if you’re looking to power trip through the alien depths.

Highly recommend giving it a spin.
