The KM-9 Scrapper is a green-tier SMG in the Korolev weapon line, available early at Korolev level 2 for just 6,400 K-Marks. Don’t let the price tag fool you—while it’s often overlooked, this scrappy little gun can dish out serious close-range damage when modded and used properly. This guide covers its stats, strengths, weaknesses, build recommendations, and recoil patterns.
Base Stats
- Damage: 10 (15 on headshot with 1.5x multiplier)
- Penetration: 17
- Magazine Size: 17
- Reload Time: 2.3 seconds
- Projectile Speed: 280 m/s
- Movement Speed Multiplier: 1.0 (no movement penalty)
- Equip Time: 0.8s / Unequip Time: 0.5s
- Falloff Range: Starts at 20m, ends at 50m (70% damage beyond this range)
Like the Bulldog, the Scrapper can be used in double-wield fashion—swap between two equipped guns instead of reloading. Just note that if your enemy survives both mags, you’ll still need to reload one eventually.
DPS and Time-to-Kill Benchmarks The Scrapper clocks in at:
- 706 RPM
- 118 DPS against green armor
- 1.36s time to empty a full mag
Time to Kill (TTK)
- Against Green Armor:
- Body: 0.765s (10 shots)
- Head: 0.51s (7 shots)
- Against Common Armor:
- Body: 9 shots | Head: 6 shots
- Against Blue Armor:
- Body: 12 shots | Head: 8 shots
- Against Epic+ Armor:
- Body: 13 shots | Head: 9 shots
The Scrapper holds its own surprisingly well against armor tiers up to Epic, trading just a few shots more than its purple-tier cousin, the ASP Flechette Gun. It even matches the Flechette in time-to-kill under certain conditions.
Recoil & Handling The Scrapper’s biggest downside is its erratic horizontal recoil. Unlike vertical kick, horizontal sway is much harder to control, and the Scrapper swerves wildly left and right. Even though it has a lower fire rate than the PDW, it feels less stable.
ADS (aim-down-sight) performance is poor. You’re better off hip-firing at close range. The iron sights are clean and more usable than the red dot, which actually reduces clarity.
Fun note: the Scrapper apparently fires Adrenic Crystals, but in action, it looks like it’s blasting shards of glass—giving it some scrappy, raw style.
Recommended Build – Recoil Control Priority Since recoil is its biggest issue, this build focuses on recoil reductionacross all attachments:
- Optic: Skip it, or use holographic if you must (avoid the red dot)
- Magazine: Go Extended or Extended + Quickdraw for sustained fire
- Stock: Any available to reduce recoil (Ultra-light, Standard, etc.)
- Rear Grip: Use recoil-reduction grip over ADS-speed grip
- Foregrip: Go with Angled Foregrip to further tame horizontal sway
- Muzzle: None – the Scrapper has no muzzle slot
- Converter:
- Rare converter (minimum) recommended
- Improves damage vs. rare/epic armor
- Slight shots-to-kill improvements at higher tiers:
- Rare armor: 12 ➝ 11 shots (Epic converter)
- Epic armor: 13 ➝ 12 shots (Rare converter)
- Headshots vs. Epic: 9 ➝ 8 (Rare converter or better)
Final Thoughts The Scrapper is best used in hip-fire range, especially in confined spaces or sudden ambushes. It’s not a versatile weapon and doesn’t scale as well into the late game—but with the right recoil-focused attachments, it shreds lower-tier enemies with speed and style.
If you’re struggling with consistency, remember: it’s called the Scrapper for a reason. And if it underperforms? Scrap it for parts.
Good luck out there, Prospector. Next up: blue-tier weapons and deeper comparisons.
