Glitch Slimes are a unique resource found only in Victor’s Workshop, accessible after completing his last range exchange mission. These slimes are essential for unlocking special upgrades and completing slimeulation rewards. This guide will walk you through how to farm Glitch Slimes quickly and efficiently by exploiting patterns and avoiding time-wasting traps.
Getting Started in the Slimeulation
- The area you log into is based on where you last logged out.
- Each zone has one portal gate and one exit sign to finish the run.
- Don’t forget to grab Debug Spray as soon as you start—it’s required to reveal Glitch Slimes.
Avoid the Indigo Quarry. It has poor spawn rates and Glitch Slimes are hard to identify among real rocks.
Best Zone for Farming: The Moss Blanket
The Moss Blanket offers a high density of Glitch Slimes and favorable objects for disguises. Here’s how to maximize your haul:
- Look for shaking objects. If a plant, bush, or fruit tree visibly shakes or vibrates, it is very likely a Glitch Slime.
- Mimic Trees: Fully grown fruit trees with visible fruit are often disguised Glitch Slimes. Shoot them immediately with Debug Spray.
- Mushrooms: If a mushroom appears in an unusual place, such as directly on a path, try shooting it—it’s often a disguised slime.
- Plants and Weeds: Decorative vines and ferns that stand out or appear misplaced can also hide slimes.
Pro Tip: Some trees disappear if you turn your back, so prioritize clearing vibrating trees before moving on.
Glitch Slime Indicators
- Odd Faces: Largos or standard slimes with distorted or unusual facial features are usually Glitch Slimes. Shoot them only if they’re in your direct path.
- Avoid chasing single glitched largos off-route, as they waste time.
- Clusters are better. Target clusters of shaking vegetation or fruit trees instead of individual slimes.
Handling Tars and Time Limits
- Tars appear toward the end of your run. At this point, you should have ~100–150 Glitch Slimes.
- Getting hit by a Tar causes you to lose three Glitch Slimes, so keep your distance.
- Once the Exit Sign appears, head toward it. You’ll often find one or two more clusters along the way.
Run Strategy Summary
- Aim for ~5-minute runs.
- Each Moss Blanket run yields 130–150 Glitch Slimes.
- You can re-enter the simulation immediately after finishing.
Why Not Indigo Quarry?
- It’s filled with nearly identical rock assets.
- Too hard to visually distinguish fake objects.
- Results in much lower efficiency.
Efficiency Tips
- Re-enter immediately after finishing a run.
- Always restock Debug Spray.
- Farm only the most productive zones (i.e., Moss Blanket).
In under 1–2 hours, you should unlock all Victor’s Workshop upgrades and make significant progress in the slimeulation. Now get out there and start glitch busting!
Happy farming!
