In Slime Rancher, tracking down all the different slimes is one of the most satisfying and fun challenges in the game. From the adorable Pink Slime to the elusive Gold and Lucky Slimes, each variety has its own habitat and requirements. This guide walks you through every slime in the game and exactly where to find them, including what upgrades or progress is needed to access certain areas.
Dry Reef Slimes
- Pink Slime – Found throughout the Dry Reef, one of the most common slimes.
- Rock Slime – Appears deeper in the Dry Reef, often near rocky terrain.
- Tabby Slime – Found to the left and below elevated areas.
- Phosphor Slime – Only spawns at night due to light sensitivity.
Indigo Quarry Slimes
Access requires a Slime Key.
- Boom Slime – Located in caves and tunnels in the quarry.
- Rad Slime – Found deeper in the quarry, particularly in radiation zones.
- Crystal Slime – Found behind a jetpack-only ledge inside a tunnel system.
- Puddle Slime – Found in shallow ponds and water sections.
Tip: Use the water tank to safely move through radiation zones without taking damage.

- Quantum Slime – Found near the upper platforms after entering the Ancient Ruins.
Complete the statue puzzle and cross the bridge through activated switches to access a teleporter leading back to your ranch.
