With the addition of the Temple of the Roots in Palia, players have a whole new set of bundles to complete. Unlocking these bundles requires you to first complete the Vault of the Flames and Vault of the Gales quests, though you don’t need to finish their bundles to proceed. Afterward, a letter from Elouisa will kickstart a series of quests leading you to the Temple of the Roots. Once you solve the sliding puzzle inside the temple, you’ll gain access to the Earth Tied Stone device located in the Kilima Night Sky Temple, where the new bundles await.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the four Vault of the Roots bundles, complete with helpful tips and maps to ease your journey.

Prospector’s Pal Bundle

For this bundle, you’ll need to collect rare star stones and valuable ingots:

  • Emerald: Found randomly while mining any size of copper ore. As an epic star stone, it may take considerable effort to obtain.
  • Jasper: Found when mining any size of stone. Again, patience and persistence are key.
  • Gold Bars: Made from gold ore, which drops rarely from medium and large iron ore nodes in Bahari Bay. You’ll need a standard pickaxe or better. Each gold bar requires five gold ore, so you’ll need a total of 15 ore. The recipe for smelting gold bars can be purchased from Hodari at mining level 7 for 2,000 gold.

Creatures of the Abyss Bundle

This bundle focuses on rare fish and elusive bugs:

  • Stonefish: A rare catch in Palia. You can fish for it simultaneously with other rare species.
  • Ancient Amber Beetle: An epic bug found throughout northern Bahari Bay at any time of day. They can also appear (around a 5% chance) when chopping medium or large sapwood trees.
  • Leafstalker Mantis: Found at any time of day in northern Bahari Bay, often near forageable plants like Sweet Leaf. Harvesting these plants gives you about a 10% chance to spawn one.

Epic bugs can also spawn within Flow Groves at midnight, but relying on that alone isn’t recommended due to their rarity.

Completing this bundle rewards you with a new bobber for your fishing rod.

Fruit of the Earth Bundle

Prepare your cooking stations—this bundle revolves around farming and culinary prowess:

  • Sashimi Bahari: A complex epic recipe requiring a standard oven, stove, mixing station, and prep station. You unlock it through the “Your Order is Served” questline, beginning with “Fit for a Vuere.”
  • Bacon-Stuffed Mushrooms: An uncommon dish. The recipe is found at the Daiya Family Farm in Kilima Village; just interact with the recipe book in the kitchen.
  • Apples (100): Apple trees take 12 in-game days to grow. Seeds can be earned through level 3 friendships with Einar or Nai—or bought randomly from Zeki’s lucky boxes. Buying seeds from Bowra’s skill store is possible but expensive and better avoided if you’re saving medals.
  • Bridshrooms (20): Rare mushrooms found around ruins and ancient structures in Bahari Bay. They glow bright blue and accumulate slowly over time, so multiple collection runs are advised.

Completing this bundle grants you the recipe for Stuffed Tomatoes.

Root Seeker Bundle

Unlike the others, this is more like a mini-quest. You must collect six Root Seeker Medallions:

  • First Medallion: Given automatically when you speak to Elouisa for the Vault of the Roots quest.
  • Remaining Five Medallions: Found hidden in treasure chests scattered across Bahari Bay.

A map of all locations is essential for efficient collection. Completing this bundle rewards you with the Emberborn Reed Planter, a beautiful new housing item.

Final Rewards

After completing all four bundles, you’ll receive an Ancient Gerer Statue, a very special housing item. Once placed, it grants you a free tree seed each real-life day, with a small chance to receive a floater seed—allowing you to plant floating flora on your plot.
