Welcome to the full guide for the Synthesis Doctor Raid in Tarisland! This fourth raid offers a unique twist on mechanics, with potion-based roles, ad management, and strong DPS checks. Today, we’ll walk you through every phase, mechanic, and strategy you need to succeed.
Let’s get right into it!
Raid Preparation: Potion Assignments
Before the fight even starts, the first major mechanic is choosing the correct potion:
- Tanks: Drink the Blue Potion (2 players)
- Healers: Drink the Green Potion (2 players)
- DPS: Drink the Red Potion (6 players)
Important: If you grab the wrong potion, you will fail the mechanics tied to your role and risk wiping the raid. Always double-check your potion at the start!

Phase 1: Early Mechanics and Rotation
Boss Behavior:
- The boss will constantly turn around and smack the player with the second highest aggro — typically your off-tank. Make sure threat management is tight to avoid DPS getting hit.
Mechanic Rotation:
- Red Orbs (DPS Duty):
- Red potion players must pick up Red Orbs scattered across the room.
- Anyone else touching these will cause a massive explosion and heavy raid-wide damage.
- Green Healer Adds (Healer Threat):
- Two dangerous adds spawn and chase the healers.
- DPS must burn them down fast to save the healers.
- Focus the add closest to the boss first for better efficiency.
- Blue Portals (Tank Task):
- Blue potion players (tanks) must run to Blue Portals that spawn.
- Picking these up grants speed boosts and prevents negative effects.
- DPS and Healers must avoid standing on these to give tanks easy access.
- Potion Loss:
- Randomly, a player will lose their potion buff.
- That player must immediately run back to the tables and re-grab their appropriate potion.
Cycle Repeats:
- After each full set (Red ➔ Green ➔ Blue ➔ Potion Loss), the cycle resets.
- Keep executing cleanly until you push the boss to Phase 2.
Phase 2: Meca Form and DPS Checks
Once you push into Phase 2, the Synthesis Doctor transforms into a massive mechanical monstrosity. New and more dangerous mechanics come into play.
Mechanic Rotation in Phase 2:
- Blue Chimera (Orb Management):
- A large blue orb spawns, periodically releasing smaller orbs.
- Kill the large orb fast.
- Drag the smaller orbs toward the boss after killing the big one.
- Important: Keep the boss away from the Blue Orb spawn point initially to avoid dangerous spins.
- Red Chimera (DPS Race):
- A red add spawns that must be burned down quickly.
- Failure to kill it in time results in a full raid wipe.
- Green Slime (Raid Damage Phase):
- A green slime spawns at the center.
- Everyone must stack under the boss, right on top of the slime.
- Being inside the green’s protective shield massively reduces damage taken.
- Anyone outside the shield will likely die immediately.
- Fusion Explosion (Positioning Test):
- Colored circles spawn (blue, red, green) requiring a specific number of players:
- 2 players in blue
- 3 players in red
- 1 player in green
- Standing incorrectly causes massive explosions.
- Players without an assigned color should continue DPSing the boss safely.
- Colored circles spawn (blue, red, green) requiring a specific number of players:
Maintaining Tank Swaps
- During Phase 2, the boss will stomp periodically.
- Tanks must swap when stomps occur to prevent tank deaths.
Final Burn Phase
As you approach the end of the fight:
- The boss may attempt another Red Chimera summon.
- If the boss is below ~5% HP, you can opt to ignore the adds and burn the boss to finish the fight.
- If DPS is lower, kill the add quickly before continuing.
Summary of Key Points
- Correct Potions = Survival.
- Tanks grab blue portals; Healers survive chased adds; DPS collect red orbs.
- Kill adds immediately or risk healer deaths.
- Always restock your potion if you lose it.
- In Phase 2:
- Manage orbs carefully.
- Burn red adds fast.
- Stack inside the green slime shield.
- Execute Fusion Explosion positioning properly.
- Be prepared to swap tanks after stomps.
Final Tips for Victory
- Communicate clearly in voice chat: Call out potion loss, orb phases, and add spawns.
- Assign players to specific colors for Fusion Explosion ahead of time.
- Use DPS cooldowns aggressively during Red Chimera summons.
- Save major healing cooldowns for the Green Slime phase.
By keeping calm, focusing on your potion role, and executing cleanly through the final phase, you’ll crush the Synthesis Doctor and clear your fourth raid in Tarisland!
Good luck, raiders — and see you at the next boss!
