Progression in Myth of Empires is all about working smarter, not just grinding harder. Once you’ve mastered the basics, these next-level tips will take your gameplay to a far more efficient and professional standard. Whether you’re taming high-tier NPCs, managing a bustling guild, or optimizing your crafting and gathering, these techniques give you the upper hand. Let’s dive into 10 tricks that even experienced players often overlook.

1. Use Horse Carts and Torture Racks to Transport NPCs

Transporting high-level NPCs across the map can be a nightmare—they wake up frequently and can’t be carried on your back forever. The solution? Use a horse with a cart and mount a torture rack on the cart. This immobilizes the NPC and prevents them from waking up. When you arrive at your base, untie them, knock them out again if needed (easier when they’re at low HP), and transfer them to a permanent torture rack in your base.

Bonus tip: You can also add ballistas or spike boards to the cart for defense. Spike boards are especially helpful when animals like wolves pursue you, as they deal passive damage to attackers chasing from behind.

2. Let NPCs and Players Ride on Your Cart

If you’re out on a run and a teammate or NPC is stranded without a mount, you can have them ride on your cart. Simply hold E near them and select the ride option. This works for players and tamed NPCs alike, making long travel routes more manageable and safer.

3. Get Huge Crafting and Proficiency XP—By Using the Bench

Most players queue up items and walk away, but that’s a missed opportunity. Sit at the crafting bench using the ‘Use’ function (Hold E > Use) to massively increase the XP and proficiency you gain while crafting. Whether you’re making lockers, armor, or weapons, staying seated gives you far more progression than walking around.

This method also works for armoring and building benches. Use it to rapidly level up building skills, crafting proficiencies, and more—without wasting time.

4. Stack Blessings from the Boundary Marker

Your boundary marker isn’t just for structure protection—it’s a powerhouse for player buffs. You can purchase two blessings daily, which scale based on how upgraded your guild’s boundary marker is. Blessings include:

  • Player Proficiency Buff – Increases skill XP while gathering, crafting, taming, and more.
  • Gathering Rate Buff – Great for high-tier material farming.
  • Warrior XP and Skill Buffs – Ideal for training warriors on dummies or benches.
  • Horse XP Buff – For leveling mounts more efficiently.

Stack them smartly. If you’re planning to knock out a lot of quests or train heavily in one skill, wait until you have both buffs active for maximum gains.

5. Sell Resources Daily for Copper Coins

In the boundary marker’s resource tab, you can sell raw resources (not crafted items) every day for copper. Your personal cap refreshes daily and limits how much you can sell. Focus on items like resin and honeysuckle, which are less useful early on, to bank up to 4,000 copper coins daily.

If you’re in a guild, be aware that the guild resource cap applies across all members. Once it’s drained, no one else can sell until the reset. Solo players can use their personal flag in place of a guild boundary marker for the same system.

6. Time Quest Completion With XP Buffs

Save your daily and weekly quests until you have the XP blessing active. Turn in multiple quests at once while under the XP buff to double or triple your experience gain from them. Some quests give large chunks of XP that become game-changing when boosted.

7. Level Armor and Physique by Sprinting and Jumping

Don’t waste idle moments around your base. Sprint and jump constantly while doing small tasks. Every stamina point burned while wearing armor gives you XP toward that armor type (light or heavy) and toward Physique. This method avoids the need to stand around letting foxes hit you and passively levels two vital skills.

8. Match Weapon/Armor Tier to Proficiency Level

Higher-tier gear is only more effective if your proficiency matches it. Weapons and armor have hidden requirements. For instance, a bronze sword may require 315 proficiency in one-handed weapons. If you don’t meet that threshold, you’ll deal less damage and the weapon will break faster than lower-tier gear.

Armor works the same way. Without proper proficiency, high-end armor will degrade rapidly. Don’t rush to equip the newest tier—wait until your skills catch up.

9. Create a Guild—Even Solo Players

Even if you’re playing solo, you should create a guild. This unlocks Guild Skills, which offer powerful global buffs:

  • +20% damage for each weapon class
  • +20% armor defense
  • Reduced weapon and armor durability loss
  • +20 HP from Physical Fitness
  • Resource gathering and siege bonuses
  • Building durability boosts

These buffs stack over time and are essential for PvP survival. Some even affect your boundary marker range, number of markers, and protection time, which can be extended up to a full day using the Increasingly Dominant guild skill.

10. Gather from Horseback—Auto Transfer to Mount Inventory

Save time when farming resources. As long as you’re mounted on a horse, all gathered resources will go directly into your horse’s inventory. This removes the need to open both inventories and transfer manually.

This works for:

  • Trees
  • Large rock nodes
  • Ore nodes (iron, brimstone, etc.)

As long as you can reach from your horse, you can gather. It speeds up lumber runs and bulk mining, and lets you chain resource collection far more smoothly.

These advanced tips can seriously change the way you play Myth of Empires. From mobile NPC transport to optimized XP gains and inventory management, these strategies are about creating smart, sustainable systems. When implemented consistently, they reduce grind, increase safety, and give you a distinct edge in both PvE and PvP.
